In todays video Jay takes apart a 400HP+ CanAm Maverick X3 Turbo RR engine.

The CanAm X3 Turbo RR engine is an awesome engine. These engines use a CVT transmission, come turbo from factory and is a lot of fun. The one here has seen 10,000rpm, and pushed 40psi of boost. Before the teardown there was signs of the cylinder head may have lifted. This is where Jay steps in and takes a look at whats inside. Check out the full video to learn more.

DLC coated buckets (valvetrain): 3:00

Signs of gas leak on head gasket : 4:16

Oil cooler: 6:06

Crankshaft drive (oil pump/water pump/starter motor driver): 6:56

Drive sprockets (things to look out for): 9:24

Piston ring gaps: 11:11

Diagnosing: 12:50
