Magnus is now offering 9.7 GPM MF Mechanical fuel pump cam drive solution for your 4G63T.

Because of our pioneering efforts in methanol fuelling for 4G63’s, we found that Electric pumps were not only noisy and taxing on the cars charging system, but reliability was not the same as with a mechanical setup, not to mention that multiple pumps had to be run to provide the proper fuel flow.

All of our own race cars utilize a custom fuel pump drive to turn a mechanical fuel pump. Now you can take advantage of this with a bolt on solution for 1G DSM and Galant VR-4. The Magnus Mechanical Fuel Pump Drive is CNC machined and bolts to the cylinder head, accurately positioning the Magnus hex drive fuel pump with your camshaft, and is driven at 1/2 engine speed eliminating the need for a separate cogged belt. Lovejoy couplers eliminate run out variances between cam gear manufacturers that can cause eccentricity in the drive system.

Magnus Motorsports announces the release of their Multiple Fuel (MF) Mechanical Fuel Pump compatible with gas, methanol, and ethanol.

Magnus Motorsports has designed their MF Fuel Pump with the inlet and exit of fuel lines on the same side of the pump, thereby eliminating the need for any additional types of fittings such as elbows and u-bends. This is especially beneficial in the tight confines of transverse motor configurations. The MF Fuel Pump is configured with an industry standard 3/8 male hex shaft. The compact design of the fuel pump results in ease of mounting positions.

The MF Fuel Pump is constructed of out of billet aluminum. Internal hardened gears are hand lapped increase lifespan and reduce the coefficient of friction. The gear housing is constructed from Anti-Galling and corrosion resistant material and further DLC coated to resist the low lubricant properties of alcohol based fuels.

Its small size and weight can supply huge amounts of fuel. The Magnus MF Mechanical fuel pump supports up to:

9.7 GPM @ 40 psi relative pressure @ 80% IDC with at 5000 RPM of pump speed (1/2 engine speed) 2800HP on Methanol 4300HP on Ethanol 5700HP on Gas

8.5 GPM @ 60 psi relative pressure @ 80% IDC with at 5000 RPM of pump speed (1/2 engine speed) 2500HP on Methanol 3700HP on Ethanol 5000HP on Gas
