The DSS 9"" kits are designed for use with the Strange center section and 5-bolt pinion support. If you are using a center section from a different manufacturer, modifications may be necessary and you are on your own. We cannot guarantee fitment for any center section other than the Strange 5-bolt unit.

The Driveshaft Shop Supra 9"" Conversion kit for the Toyota Supra has been tested in some of the fastest IRS cars in the world. Allowing you to retain the driveability of the independent rear and handle more HP than you can put to it. In addition to the 9” housing with integrated rear mounting points, brackets and hardware, we are also including our signature 1400HP Pro-Level axles with the strongest 300M 30 spline center bars we make. These axles are without a doubt the strongest on the market, with 300M Races and full billet 4340 CV cages. The billet axle stubs going into the differential are also included in either 31, 33 or 35 spline to fit many of the popular center sections. The kit will also come with a 4"" aluminum shaft with the new CV design that balanced on our high speed balancer, or for a nominal upgrade fee, the new 3-3/4” Carbon Fiber shaft (using our new bonding technology, see our website for more info). This design is the same as can be found on all of the fastest IRS cars out today including Lingenfelter’s 2010 Camaro 6 speed manual running 8.99′s at 4200lbs along with Mark Carlyle's Z06 Corvette which is a testament to how strong they really are (not to mention Travis/Tbones killer GTO running 8.90’s with a trans brake).

The front mount that connects to the original 5 pinion bolts on the 9” center section has a spacer that will allow for either the standard nodular case or a nice Pro Aluminum bolt thru style one. Due to the variety of differentials, spools and cases available we have decided to supply the 9” housing rear alone as a kit and let you use the drop down menu to pick the Center section, so you can decide what would be best for your needs. This kit utilizes all 4 original mounting points for the factory differential no fabrication needed, The kit comes with all other hardware needed for the installation. a new larger Vent tube and we have also added a ""magnetic drain plug"" to collect the break in debris from the gears (gears have to be broken in for 300-500 miles and the oil changed) this may not sound like much but all of these things together add up to a great part that will take about any HP and abuse you want to put into it.
All you have to add is the oil (We recommend the Lucas 85-140 Non-Synthetic, 2 quarts only). We have supplied our special 31/33/35 spline diff stubs rated to 1800HP that include the double seal design.

This system was designed to use any Pinion case , if ordering a center section on your own please make sure the pinion support bolts are the same size and clock as a Factory Ford diff and spacing from the housing mount to the Centering of the u-joint is the same. We can help you with this.
If you are a Strange or Moser dealer any of there 5 pinion cases can be used.
